What we do
The major things we do is linked to the aims and objectives laid down in the supreme and sacred guiding book of the Community otherwise, called the „Statuten of the Abia Community in Vienna, Austria (ACVA)“ These are issues and matters like:
1. Provide a forum likewise a platform for general discussions, interactions for and by members of Abia Community in Vienna on matters affecting the general well-being of Abia indigenes, its members in Vienna and the State of Abia at home;
2. Form a friendly union for brothers and sisters, for peace, love and togetherness amongst the Abians in Vienna;
Foster unity amongst the indigenes and people of Abia State;
3. Promote and protect individual and collective interests, welfares and brotherhood amongst Abia people;
4. Promote and preserve the cultures and traditions of Abia state and to transfer same to our children and further generations and
Assist and promote as the need may arise activities of Charity Organisations in the home country and for the benefit of our people thereabout.
Meanwhile, it is the absolute duty of the Organisation and its member to do everything humanly possible for the overall wellbeing of the members. In doing these, we do respect the laws of the host country and try as much as possible being good Ambassadors of great nation Nigeria.
We organise and execute yearly sociocultural events like cultural exhibitions, national and international seminars and conferences to include other related issues. Through these activities, we promote and exchange exercises and programmes with people and organisations that are interested in our activities and who helps in one way or the other to promote and realise the aims and objectives of our Constitution. And we do also participate in the political and cultural activities and events as reflected in the participatory political exercises in Austria Constitution. To say the least, we are very cautious about the laws of the Republic of Austria.
Furthermore, we participate in nation building in Austria by doing things in accordance to the rules and regulations that promote peace and understanding amongst our host nation and people from diverse countries with multiple of diverse traditions, cultures and religious affiliations.
